Lutz Hunger Ohne Werk — a digital biography for my uncle
Lutz Hunger (1950–2023) was my uncle: a maths teacher who became a computer trainer and a publisher. Ohne Werk — “without a work” — is the digital biography I designed and hand-coded for him, in German and Italian.
Why I built it
He wrote that he was content even without a lasting work: „Ich bin zufrieden, auch ohne Werk.“ This site is a nephew's answer — a tribute that keeps his life readable, chapter by chapter.
A life in five chapters
- Studiuma childhood in Munich-Schwabing (1950), then a teacher of mathematics and sport.
- Computerschulein 1986 he founded DIREKT, a computer training business in Berlin.
- Verlagin 1995 the publisher Lehrbuch Verlag, known for its MS Office learning books and software.
- Akademiein 2005 the Akademie am Salzufer, with digital knowledge bases and a bookshop in Friedenau.
- Ohne Werk2017, the final chapter.
